So pretty, and so much easier to throw on over a simple outfit of separates rather than trying to find a dress for an event!

But an aside: Why do things like this look so gorgeous on other women and so dumpy on me? I can't figure that out. That's so pretty, but every time I try that cut, I can't take it off fast enough.

I just got the email from them about that. It's so pretty. But how would you wear it under a warm coat on the way to a party?

Janet, I think the key is probably to wear it over something really, really slim -- skinnies or leather pants or something. You have to offset the mumsy, I agree.

And Lisa, i have no idea. Outerwear can be confounding.

That makes sense, Vivian. I have a bad habit of trying things on over whatever it is that I'm wearing, rather than styling during try-ons. An item like this really needs to be seen in context. Good point.

I love this jacket but have sworn off sequins on my torso. The way they catch the light just emphasizes my bust line and general 3-D thickness.
