For those of you who wear Dansko or Sanita Professional clogs?

How often do you replace them? I wear my Sanita's in the hospital, so the outersole is not worn down at all. There is a lot of scuffing on the leather part however. Ruelala is having a sale on Sanita's today.

First of all, I was a huge fan of Dansko. I loved them. I had the clogs and they lasted for years. I only had to replace them when the sole itself cracked in half due to wear. After my first pair of Dansko, I purchased several additional pairs (another pair of clogs, sandals, and heels). None of them worked. I had problems with either fit or quality or both. I will never purchase Dansko again. EVER.

Dansko I heard used to use the Sanita patented footbed. They dropped that licensing, and moved production to China. They used to work for me but no longer.

I finally replaced a 10-12 year old pair of Dansko professionals (I wear the narrow model) this year with Sanitas. My old Danskos were made by Sanita. I find I like the Sanitas better now in the clog. I also have a pair of Dansko sandals that work for me. I wear clogs almost every day, summer or winter. Yeah, not very fashion forward but they reward my fussy feet with comfort and long, long wear. The pair I decided to donate had worn down on the heels enough that I was occ. tipping over on them. The leather tops were still in fantastic shape as I am kind of a stickler about upkeep of shoes.

Yes, must say, am not at all impressed with the vaunted Dansko. But I get a new pair of clogs once a year. I wear my shoes unevenly though, so after awhile, I tilt. Otherwise, really, they're fine.

I dont wear them daily but Ive had some for years. Have you considered taking them to the cobbler to get spiffed up? They have always done a great job with mine and its not that expensive. I think I pay $12.

do you only have 1 pair? i'd buy an extra pair just to have it. i've heard of them breaking on people...
