Angie, this dress would look stunning on you. I bet you would love his entire collection. Bright colors and graphic prints in stunning combinations. But the silhouettes were overall quite simple.
Scarlet, the conversation went down like this:
Michael and Nina were pitted against Heidi and Jessica Simpson (guest judge). The week before the finale, the contestants were asked to show three pieces of their final collection to the judges, and Michael and Nina suggested to Mondo that his dress would have been better without sleeves. Heidi loved it just the way it was though.
Anyway, the finale came along and Mondo decided to leave the sleeves on. Actually, he had made a completely new dress to replace this one but Tim encouraged him to use the bubble dress because it represented his aesthetic better.
So on the day of the finale, there was an extended, heated debate about his collection. Nina and Michael were feeling bruised that he didn't listen to them about the sleeves, but Heidi was still in love with the dress and JS loved it too.
Nina and MK were bashing it as clown clothes, but Heidi and JS both said they would love to wear it, to which MK responded, very condescendingly and rudely, that he would love to see Heidi "wiggle into" that dress--both suggesting that she was being insincere, and that she was too fat for it.
