Oh, I always found that peonies don’t like to be replanted — we tried with one that was in our yard from the previous owners, and it didn’t survive. I do love them — I might buy one and plant it in an empty space in our front yard.
Here we have hydrangeas, oak leaf hydrangeas, daylilies, and potted geraniums all blooming nicely. Hosta blooms are mostly faded or gone.
Our vegetables are coming along nicely. All of the pepper and tomato plants have fruit, and one tomato plant is starting to redden. Carrots seem to be doing ok, and squash has a couple of fruits.
We built a couple of new seating areas in our back yard, something we have meant to do for years. Just some gravel and stepping stones, and chairs and a fire pit we brought home from the ranch. It’s turned into quite an oasis out there! The birds absolutely love the “mountain stream” my husband built with an existing drainage area and some pipes and a buried water tank and pump.
