This reminds me of when I went to a neighborhood gathering (ok, it was a memorial, kinda sad) in the Old Hipsterville hood... at the next table over was this neighbor - a carpenter dressed like a hipster dressed like a carpenter... if you can imagine that.

My youngest stepson is an artist and a welder, and his jeans look exactly like this...but I think he paid $20 for them at Goodwill and achieved the patina naturally.

My old father finds most jeans incredibly expensive and would be pretty shocked if he saw the price of THESE. But his next response would likely be: "They look like my old jeans, you know the ones I have used in the garden for the last 15 years. How much do you think I could get for mine?"

I am with you Gigi, this is crazy stuff. In NZD these are $651!!

It is rich people trying to look like farmers or ranchers or people that work hard. I find it obnoxious I have to say.

The recent shoe thread didn't offend me in the same way - some of the shoes were designed to be worn that way, and I have done similar things (albeit with house shoes). I would not do it with brand or expensive loafers, that is madness.

I cannot see the reviews either but WHY. This was like when Macy's wad selling 20! Collard Green for $300 a pop. They sold out of the collards im sure it will be a sell out for these. Shaking my head.
