Can't help but share - thought of adding onto the Happy Moments thread, but I already posted there, and it seems the thread is on hiatus for a week.
In any case, while on vacation, my dog also had a fabulous time in the care of a really amazing guy who takes doggies up into the Rocky Mountains for amazing 'adventures' (hikes in the mountains with other doggie friends). He trains doggies, takes them way up into the wilderness to socialize with other dogs, and looks after them when their 'parents' are away.
Got some great pictures sent to me while I was out of town...
Just for the record, Gus (black lab) is the most difficult dog I've ever had - got him from the pound at two years of age, and he had 'issues' (to say the least), having spent most of the first two years of his life in shelters. I remember the shelter phoning me every few days and then every few weeks after - "Just phoning to see how you're doing with Gus...oh, you're keeping him???" and so on.
Guess what? He's now the very best behaved dog I've ever known. I think he maybe just needed a chance to run around in the mountains (off leash) with other canine friends.
I thought these pictures were really cute, and wanted to share them with fellow doggie fans on YLF.
