Hi Suntiger,

I have to give you a huge shoutout for your humor here on YLF. You often “carry off” a pretty thing. It always cracks me up. I imagine a wood elf grabbing the pretty things and running off into the forest with them to hide them in a pile of fallen leaves. OR...I imagine a pet ferret (no I do not have one) collecting all the small shiny objects and putting them in a hidey-hole under furniture.

I never get tired of it

The reason I say it, is that baby suntiger (a year old but the youngest in the household) carries off the things that are the "prizes" and growls at them! This was a scrap of fake fur, leftover from some cat toys I was making.
My very spoiled dog will do it too with food that's extra special!
I know it sounds silly

I’m with Chris. It tickles me every time I read you’re carrying something off. I see a lot of things posted by forum members I’d like to carry off. Clem, one of our little tribe of fab feisty felines, used to grab her favorite toys, and race around the house growling.

Plus I think its funny to picure baby ST pulling a skirt (especially a leopard skirt since he has both spots and stripes) behind him!

Suntiger, your baby suntiger is not silly at all! I have a cat who does that same growling-with-thing-in-the-mouth behavior but he only does it with live prey he has just caught. He's a strictly indoor cat, but in a 215-year old house with a stone foundation the mice and chipmunks do get into the basement, and he catches them and does NOT want anyone taking it away from him.

I've had to rescue mice, and bugs, and a bird, and a baby possum (easy to catch!) The worst was an uncooperative squirrel
