I haven't tried the Dr. Scholls version, but this has been around for ages in several different formulations by different companies. I think the best is Body Glide, which is the original and is generally sold in sporting goods to runners to avoid chafing. You can use it on feet, but also on nips (for men where they get friction burn from shirts while running), and where thighs rub together. It works much better on thighs than feet (although I prefer Monistat Chafing relief powder gel-- try it if your thighs get sweaty and stick in summer, works miracles). If you have a place that rubs just slightly it can sometimes help prevent irritation or a blister, but anything that would cause more than a very mild blister it is worthless for (imo, but I have very fussy feet). Also, if you are going all day in the shoes in question, you will have to reapply several times.
