For Greg - Alert button?

Hi Greg,

Is there any chance of an alert button or something for when doesn't seem quite right?

have been cropping up fairly regularly of late. They are clearly deliberately trolling and it upsets me that YLF is being used this way by unscupulous people.

I have contacted you in that past but feel a button would make things easier.

Perhaps there could be a button to mark a post as suspicious - similar to the "spam" button that we have - but it wouldn't necessarily remove the post, just send a notice to Greg to check it out & decide whether or not it should remain? That's just an idea off the top of my head.

Hi afterism, I agree, it upsets us too! One of the biggest challenges with managing a blog or forum is dealing with the spam. We have automated systems in place that filters out a lot of it, but some gets through.

I like your idea of an alert button and will add that to my list of things to consider for a future update. In the meantime, feel free to send me a private message instead.

As Kari says, veterans currently have a button they can press to mark a post as spam. I do check these, so if you are a veteran you should mark it as spam if you are in doubt.
