I'm going with:
Most common hair: black/dark brown (not sure what they would call it--if the nomenclature used is "blonde, red, brown, black," then I mean black, if the choices are "blonde, red, brown, dark brown," then I mean "dark brown.")
Least common hair: red

Most common eyes: brown
Least common eyes: green

Ok, I would say:

Hair most common: black
Least: red

Most common eye color: brown
least: hmmm green?

Supposedly Liz Taylor has lavender eye color, but I always thought that was probably hype. To me, she has blue eyes. But if people do have lavender eyes, that must be the least common.

I'd guess that black hair and brown eyes are most common, and naturally red hair (not just strawberry blonde/or hair with red undertones) and green eyes are least common worldwide.

Green eyes are my absolute favourite- I always wished I had them when I was growing up. At least I managed to find a green-eyed boyfriend

Okay:

o Black: Asia is our biggest continent. India and China have the largest world populations. A no-brainer.

o Blonde: Natural blonde hair is all its forms (from tow-head to dark blonde) is the most rare. Think about it. The only place in the world where there is natural blonde hair is in Northern Europe. All blonde hair stems from that descent. I would have guessed red hair too, but it’s not the case.

o Brown: Goes hand in hand with black hair.

o Green: An interesting mutation from brown eyes. A hyper recessive gene.

Angie, are you sure about blonde hair, and not red hair, being the most rare? This is what Wikipedia says (not that they are the be all, end all, but still!):

Interesting. I read a few articles that maintain true blonde hair was the rarest colour on earth. Oh well! I'd have put my money on red hair too.

My sister has green eyes, and I've always been jealous. Interesting fact: my other sister and I have brown eyes, and there is no traceable family member who had brown eyes.

I find genetics to be the most interesting thing, particularly how different genes appear in eye color and hair color. On my mom's side, my grandfather had blue eyes, my grandma had green. My mom is the only child of 5 with blue eyes, all of the other ones had hazel or green. My grandfather had dark brown/nearly black hair; my grandmother had mousy-brown hair. The oldest has black hair, then their hair gets lighter by child until the last child (my uncle), who has dark blonde hair. All of my cousins have black and dark, dark brown hair except for me and my newest of new cousins who is a red head. I was born red, but no one on either side (save this new cousin) has ever been red. Except for my dark-blonde uncle, no one on either side of my family was blonde, but me, and I'm super blonde.
