Tried this on yesterday!

Is this color current?

I thought it could provide a nice burst of color on a dreary winters day:).

It's denim, with a trench like detail at the shoulder.

The color is beautiful and yes pop of color is what we need in grey black winters. Liked it. Can you show some detail WIWs so that we may see the fit. Its quite not clear.

Love the color and I think it is current. Not sure of cross between trench and denim jacket but it might work (it may be AlGO but you have such great sense of style that you could make it work).

Yes Denise I was out thrifting. It's a jacket by "Covers" which is a pretty pricey new.

It's hard for me to say no to a gun flap. I like what I see - unless you are hiding some bust fit problems behind that phone, I say go for it!

Lol! No bust issues Rae other than sometimes I wish I was a little smaller in the area ha ha. I just struggle taking change room photos.

BTW, the buttons are gold so i would probably change them over.

Absolutely get it! The fit and style look great from what I can see. I thrifted a hot pink winter coat a month or two ago and can't wait to wear it. I think pink is going to be even more trendy soon - mostly because I keep finding pink things and that is what I feel like telling myself.

That looks super fun, Deborah. It reminds me a bit of my raspberry cord cropped jacket. I realize the style is different but it's equally a "casualizing" pop of colour piece.

I find that I don't wear mine a whole lot, but I'm still extremely glad I bought it. (At thrift prices, that is...) It is one of those items to have and keep in the closet that can add a little zing to an outfit...and it works in unexpected ways. I think the reason I wear mine less is the fabric; it is corduroy. So the colour is somehow in conflict with the fabrication on mine. With yours this would not be an issue.

Well I think I may have to drop by tomorrow and see if it's still there. I think it was the princely sum of about $6.00. I just showed hubby the picture and he said he thought the color was on trend and that he had seen me wear "stranger" things lol!

Suz, appreciate your thoughts and I did think of your jacket when I saw this. My thinking is like yours, that this may not get worn as often as other things in my wardrobe but that there will be times when it's just what I need. I am seeing this primarily over dresses and skirts.

Also what I mean re the "trench" detail is that it has the "flap" (i dont know what its called) over the shoulder at the front Adding another photo to show you.

The color is beautiful. I'm wondering about the length. It should be fine for slacks and jeans but may feel too long for a cropped jacket to wear with dresses. It's hard to tell in the photo. For $6 it's certainly worth playing with.
