I was thinking these are targeted towards very wealthy millennials who were kids when the original Crocs were popular, would that be the mid-2000s? Wasn't 2007 the year for Crocs? So it's a sort of ironic nostalgia experience for only $850 with all of the Jibbitz embellishments AND a Balenciaga logo.
Here's an Article from Elle about the collaboration with Crocs. I guess I'm not the only one who's surprised by this. From a publicity standpoint alone (not so much design), it's a win, it got me to post about it!
Couldn't help adding this group photo from the Wikipedia Crocs article, made me think of YLF gatherings! Except we don't have the hairy legs.
