I like 2 best! You look great in all of them!

All 3 are great! Haveing said that, I like nr. 2 best. And since nr. 3 is a bit tight I would go for comfort I woul think you should get nr. 2 and nr. 1 for the days you feel like wearing a bikini.

Since I am a strong defender of women in bikinis at any age, I should say I prefer #1. And I would, if it wasn't for the fact that you look totally amazing and mind-blowing in #2!

You look lovely! Love the style on #2, BUT I love #3's little bow-thing at the neckline. You should be so proud of yourself - this took guts. And - you have such a trim little figure and beautifully long legs - flaunt them! YLF!

I know I'm in the big minority here,.... but my favorite is #3. I'm wondering if you need to size up though.

In general these all look really, really good on you!

I have a slight preference for #2 over #3 for the 1-piece, just because I love all that draping/detail, and I think the color is a bit better on you.

I have the opposite concern about sizing as most -- I worry about #2 being a bit loose once it hits the water! I feel like a suit should feel pretty snug when dry...does #2 feel that way?

[Yes, I have been the "victim" of baggy butt once (seemingly quality) suits that fit fine-but-not-snug hit the water.]

Re 2-piece: I think it's fine and goddess-y as-is, I just wonder if a slightly different shaped bottom -- suit, not yours -- might be even better.

However, were I you I would probably be VERY over swimsuit shopping so feel free to disregard my suggestion...I am being nitpicky! I think because that is a relatively substantial top (I feel ya there, and it looks great on you) a bottom with a *slightly* higher waist and more fabric would look more balanced.

#2 is amazing! Cute bikini too.

My vote is for #2 or, 3 because if you are pool-side lounging, still an opportunity to look totally FAB and are both great colors to dress up with a chunky necklace, a nice straw bag and a pair of gold hoops!

I'm so glad you were brave enough to share these with us...you look fantastic! I vote for the bikini AND #2.

Thanks so much, ladies!

I bought... 1 and 2! I decided to go with the less predictable one-piece, and the bikini. My husband gave them both big thumbs up. He loved the color of the slate blue one.

Today was the first day our pool was ready to swim in, and I almost broke out one of the new suits, but decided to use one of my old ones since I wanted to do some laps and not just splash around. But now that the pool is clean and warm, I'll be in it most days, even if it's just for a quick dip, so I'll definitely get use from my new suits.

I really appreciate all the advice and nice comments. I know I'll never be recruited to be a Sports Illustrated swimsuit model, but I'm not ashamed of my body anymore. I knew this community is supportive enough that no one was going to say anything unkind, so I felt pretty safe posting here. Thank you for affirming that belief. You all rock!

Janet, YAY you bought #2 and the bikini! I am SO glad you posted. You're inspiring me. You look great! #2 is elegant and #1 fun!

Great choices!

Kudos to you, Janet! Down with body shame and up with body love and celebration :). Are you saying that you have your own pool? How luxurious!

I'm glad you bought both. There are occasions that need a one-piece but you have a great shape to wear the bikini so should if you are comfortable in one. I love bikinis and wear one even when I'm a bit fluffier than I should be.

Tomorrow may be my first day in the pool too if the Kreepy finishes the vacuuming on time.

Since Iam late here and you already bought them ,I can only add another:)
YOU ROCK!!!!

You DO! You TOTALLY rock!! Nicely done!!!

Yay! So glad you kept them!

Thanks! Vix, I hear you on the advice about bikini bottoms. I sometimes find bikinis to be a little easier to wear than one-pieces, BUT the big trick is finding the right bottoms. If the waist is too high -- and many are -- my short-waistedness becomes too apparent, and my midsection starts to look thick, which its not. Actually one part of my body I'm pretty content with. I also have trouble finding bottoms that don't pinch at the hip and leg opening, because when I go up to a larger size, the butt starts getting baggy. Ah, the joys of having hips but no booty!

Yep, Jonesy, we have our own pool. When we shopped for this house, we weren't really looking for a pool, but it has been a very welcome part of our home. We're in the woods and the water is shaded and stays very cool, so for the first couple years here, I didn't swim much. We put in a heater two years ago, and now I'm in that water nearly every day of the summer!

Janet, I have the same issue with the lack of booty and am short waisted too. I usually buy bra-sized bikini tops and find matching/coordinating bottoms. My friend's daughter recommended the Victoria's Secret double string bottom. It has a bit more coverage than the single string and the two strings spreads out the pull so you don't get that digging in look. I tested by ordering one in white and one in black and may get a few more.

I have a whole drawer dedicated to swim suits and had to purge recently as there were far too many. I use the pool as an excuse but I just like to have a variety.

Yes, I agree with all of the ladies...this is a great community...it seems that we have been lucky enought to keep all of the rift raft out!...Congrats on the pool and have a great summer, Janet!
