for book lovers: literary infinity scarves

I know lots of people like the Out of Print book cover tees, so I thought some of you might like these scarves I just discovered from an Etsy seller. I am not a huge fan of infinity scarves, but if it came in a blanket scarf version I'd snap one up!

I absolutely LOVE these. It's too bad they are only offered as infinity scarves, as if they were offered in a regular scarf I would buy one.

aww what a great find! So whimsical. I actually love infinity and loop scarves, and if it weren't for my severely limited budget I would totally get one now--I love the Alice too and also the Sherlock Holmes.

Oh I'm sad too. I really don't like infinity scarves but I'd buy a regular one in a minute. Maybe someone needs to send this thread to the seller!

Here is another seller with similar scarves. Still only infinities, although she does also have cool handwarmers. And these are cotton, which might be nicer than the poly/viscose of the first seller.

My goodness. I am sold.
For those who don't want an infinity scarf, why not just buy the infinity scarf, cut the loop and hem the ends? Not difficult, and can even be done by hand.

Wow. I like the second link better, I think, because the scarves are cotton, even though they don't have the great illustrations that the scarves at the first link have.

Are you sure they don't have regular scarves? A couple of the bookstores I sell to have these - one in Winnipeg and another in Canmore. Apparently they sell like hotcakes. I did personally find them a bit on the big-and-heavy side but the quality is there, most definitely. I could swear I've seen them sold as a regular scarf. (and under that brand name)

Even Amazon, which only seems to have the quotation scarves, only has infinity scarves - no regular scarves. And while I'd be happy to cut an infinity, it would have to be separated at its current seam, and I am not sure with my lack of sewing skills that I could make a scarf hem. At least on my silks, it seems like an almost invisible seam.

Cute but probably not warm enough for here in the viscose. I love the hand warmers, those would look great at the meetings which are usually in freezing rooms/auditoria.
