Dani, I saw this as I browsed and was very drawn to it! (The color as much as anything, I think!) The length they give would be knee-length on me, and they don't give the petite length, so hopefully it would be at least a couple of inches shorter. The price is within my range. I wondered about the back collar; it looks like it goes up very high in the back, and I'm not sure I want that. I wonder if they have it propped a bit for the photo?

I think they have it turned up a bit. I would think it would lay down, but it will still be a bit high in the back. Does that make any sense?

Becky, I think you should do it! It might not work out, but I think the color would be great on you, and Kansas winters get cold. It could be just the thing.

I think you should do it too, Becky. (And I'm tempted myself, but have to watch my budget right now).

Go for it! It's a GORGEOUS shade of red. There was a similar coat - same shade, but it was in a lighterweight trench coat material - at AT earlier this spring. I hesitated on it and have kicked myself ever since.

Would you say that online size charts are generally useless? According to the petites size chart, for my bust, I would be in a size 0, and for my waist and hips, I should be in a size 8!!!! Does anyone know this brand; how does it run, size-wise? Is the live chat option on the Nordstrom website helpful for answering these kinds of questions?

I think they are useless. Well...they are sort of a "guide." I know that in most jacket sizes, I am an 8, but I have gone down to a 6, and up to a 10 before (even if the size chart says I should be a 4 or 12, etc). I'd say go with the size that you *most* often wear as a starting point, if you can only buy one size at a time.

But hopefully someone on here will be familiar with the brand and be able to give you a little more specific guidance.

EDIT: Oh good, Angie probably knows best.
