1. So, lovely Anne paired her denim dress with a column of white for a fresh take on the dress with slim pants formula that Angie demonstrates so beautifully. Since I've barely holding on to any sense of style this season (life is challenging -- but I'm OK), I've fallen out of the habit of taking outfit pics. I restaged this outfit this morning for Anne. In this version, I'm wearing 2 1/2 inch heels with a high vamp, and have paired a swirly silvery tank with a indigo stone pendant to keep things interesting. I've worn my shirt out, because the rise of these pants is a bit too high, and it throws off the proportions a bit.

I've included a few pics that show a few simple refreshers to my spring and summer wardrobe. The budget is practically nonexistent, and I've stayed pretty conservative, but I feel like myself in all of these, and they are all versatile.

2. Another column of white, with an old chambray blazer (I adore an unlined blazer). The Loft scarf is new, and my tip of the hat to the floral craze. I love a botanical floral! The full length pants are new -- of softest brushed twill, and very comfy.

3. The same new pants are paired with a statement top from Loft. I love the bold vintage print (bold florals are another favorite), and the trendy bell sleeve that's just short enough to stay out of the way of car doors and guitar picking! The cotton of this top is really sof.

4. Same pants again, with a new Loft fine gauge sweater. I love a 3/4 sleeve and the floating swingy shape. This knit is quite sheer, so I didn't size down, to avoid a Lululemon-like overexposure.

5. I'm making several weekend runs up to Chicago, and this is my favorite travel outfit. I've paired comfy patent sandals with nice athleisure black crops and a double layer top in cobalt. This top has a long slender underlayer, and a shorter, trapeze shaped overlayer. It is exceedingly soft. I do wish it had real shoulder seams, and didn't have what I call "flying squirrel" underarms.

6. These items are older, and the unlined cobalt blazer is on it's last legs (looking for a replacement with a bit more length and a bit roomier). I like the blouse with the tie and polka dots, and I heartily recommend the ponte crops from WHBM. These shoes were a wild card purchased last year. I know ivory shoes don't bookend my hair, but them make me feel very Ginger Rogers (where's my Fred Astaire?)
