Hello
I am still getting up to speed with YLF (reading through old posts) and have just finished the one about the Duran Duran bag (that you'd save in a fire

OMG I still love Duran Duran even now (I own 'Best Of' CD's etc). I have them on my iPod. Back in the day - I was a die hard fan. I had the tapes (ha, tapes!), books, video's, posters all over my wall (that I ripped out of teen magazines. I would have been 12 at the height of my DD mania)

I had a brilliant 'disco mix' tape (see pic) that my Uncle got for me in Japan (bear in mind this was the late 80's in New Zealand, and anything foreign at that time was seen as being VERY exciting). The Tiger Tiger tape had these fabulously long 'disco mixes' (like ten minutes long) of their most popular songs. Think 're flex flex flex flex flex' for ten minutes straight!

I even saw Simon Le Bon when he sailed his yacht ('Drum') into Auckland Harbour
(Whitbread Round the World Race). I made my Mum take me down there to battle the crowds to see him Am just enjoying a bit of DD nostalgia and am quite thrilled that someone else knows who they are and is still a fan! Go Durannies!
