Angie, following up on your blog comment, here are the three pairs of boots that have worked for me over the last 4-5 years with slim calves, long feet, and short legs - although I would love to replace at least one since they’re all so well-worn and have been repaired many times over. The cognac is Franco Sarto, the black with the fabric back is Anne Klein (probably the best fit), and the black with lace-up back is Cole Haan (from the Nike Air days). Although I’ve diligently searched online for the right fit, to no avail, over the years, these are all boots I happened upon in consignment shops or Ross - maybe they were defective for running narrow in the calves or short in the shaft, but they worked perfectly for me!
