For Aida: Tweed jacket w/white & silver + jacket lab

Aida asked me to do an outfit with the same jacket I did with dark jeans only with white and silver or gold.

I went with silver because of silver toned zipper detail on the red jacket. White dog graphic tee for white theme. (Photo 1) What do you think? (2/3)
I also tried some other jackets. White tweed jacket (4/5), silver metallic jacket (6/7), and long black jacket (8/9). What do you like, not like? I'd love to have your suggestions and preferences. Is low or high contrast better?

Oh, my goodness, I always enjoy your posts! You have an enviable closet, and put together such great looks.

I like all of your combos, but the low contrast pairings in 4-7 are my favorites. I can't honestly say if they objectively suit you better, or if this just reflects my own personal admiration for a well-put together low- contrast outfit.

Fab! Hard to choose a favorite, but I love how, you put together interesting low contrast outfits in #4-5 white tweed and #6-7 silver metallic. The graphic dog t-shirt is superb!

I like it with the silver and red jackets best. Looks amazing! Your tee reminds me a bit of LisaP's new scarf and leggings, in that the pattern gives the impression of marble at first glance.

I like this very much! It's the colors, textures and details that make this so good to me. Love the white, silver, necklace, shoes. I probably like it with the shorter jackets best.

I like them all, it's hard to pick a favourite. I think I like it most with a simpler jacket. The print seems more impactful like that.

Woohoooo! SO fabulous The silver looks wonderful with the wine shade, a little more unexpected than gold somehow. I like both lighter jackets with this look, especially the silver one, but find the black a little heavy (could just be the photos though). Thanks for indulging me ^^

PS Joy. Seriously. You find the best graphic tees!!

As always, I love all your outfits. It's so hard to choose just one favorite, but I think I will go with the silver jacket, but it's a close race between the four outfits. Your outfits are always the perfect mix between trendy and classic. Loved everything separately, but even more how you put it together. I am going to use your outfit as an inspiration.

All these outfits are fantastic but I like 4-7 (white and silver jackets) the most. The proportions are spot on and you look incredibly glamorous and alive.

Dear ladies, thank you each so much for looking and commenting.
The tee was thrifted some time ago and I had to have it because the dog looks like our Maggs. I am very picky about graphic tees and only have about 5 of them. It seems that the white and silver jackets are the most favored. I wore the outfit as shown with the silver jacket today to run errands.
Dianna, I love being a blend of classic and trendy. That is a style goal, to update classics with a bit of trendy so that it is a bit playful and not stuffy.
Aida, thank you for the idea of using white.
Mirjana, I have a weakness for jackets, so have several. I prefer them to cardigans most of the time.

Bit late Joy but had already decided I liked white jacket and silver jacket best before reading other comments. I think the black one is both too stark and too long. All the cropped ones are better proportions. Those white jeans look great the way you roll them!

Thank you, Jenni and Anchie. I got the idea for rolling the jeans from Aida. I have a pair of white jeans with big cuffs but they were in the laundry.
I'm glad the white jacket is a hit. It can be a bit dressy, so it is good to find a way to wear it casually.

You look great in all the pictures. My favourites are the ones with the white and the silver grey jackets. And what a fab graphic T-shirt! I like the big pearl too, but personally I would prefer it to be either a little shorter or a little longer, to avoid conflict with the upper line of the T-shirt.

Gorgeous as always, Joy. I love that tee with the silver jacket! It occurs to me that white and silver is one combination that women over 50 often wear more successfully than most younger women. Nice for those of us with graying hair to find this new source of glamour.

Thank you, lpr200, tulle and Beth Ann for the lovely comments and thoughts. Tulle, you are right. Whites and silver with gray hair is definitely more flattering than when I was younger with dark auburn hair. I can also wear black more successfully. I fine optic white the most unexpected and youthful on older women, especially as white jeans or a crisp shirt with popped collar. Ivory is more of a cliche so I try to avoid it or mix it with other whites. But my favorite white is slightly grey or pearl. If someone came up with a pearlized white for hair, ( or oil slick in whites) I would go for it.
Beth Ann, I have worked to add more white and silver but my summer wardrobe could use more casual pieces.
