Footwear for the fall boyfriend?

I've loved my boyfriend in the summer, but as the days become shorter, and the nights a little crisp - I wonder, can he go the distance? Is it just a one season affair? And what on earth kind of footwear do I wear with the rolled pant...or do I unfurl him? hmm so many questions to ponder...
Ladies what do you suggest? How are you planning to wear your BFs this fall?
PS debuting new blazer from Zara. Just love it!!

Good grief. The blazer!! That's why Zara has been one of my favourite stores for 15 years - despite how hit and miss it is.

Angie - I feel overwhelmed in Zara, there is so much merchandise. I cruised around and saw this blazer - and I said to myself ( I have so many conversations going on in my head it's amazing I can function) this looks like something I would see Angie wearing on YLF. I tried it on - and I couldn't believe it how transformative it was. Obviously others felt the same way since it was the last one on the rack..to the victor go the spoils! doing my little happy dance!.

That blazer is an 11 out of 10. Wow!! I love the way you mixed the classics with trends! Such a flop proof combination. Both outfits in #1 are k-word worthy. I have been planning to wear my husband jeans with Converse sneakers and plaid too - so we are on the same wavelength :). I like to wear my slipper flats instead of ballet flats. And I'll wear the jeans with booties too.

I would totally wear that blazer. I love checks/plaid and elbow patches as you can see below. It's fun to be thought of in the dressing room

Great blazer. To answer you question: I'll go with booties, and the jeans rolled with skin showing in the middle or unrolled, over the bootie.

Are your BF's long enough unfurled? If so, that would be a great look with the footwear you showed above, too! The blazer is amazing on you. SO glad you got the last one.

I love all of this - the photos AND the writing! Three thumbs up for the yellow flats, though, partly because I adore yellow, and partly because the whole outfit just looks SO awesome. Thanks for sharing the jacket!

I like the flats with the jeans, and this is a great question, as I'm wondering how to transition my BFs into fall too. Mine are too short to roll down. Maybe with heeled booties?

No advice on BFs (don't have any) but you look too cute for words in those photos.

I have tried mine tucked in to mid calf engineer boots, and I will be trying them with some heeled booties next.

Thanks everyone for very kind words and so many great suggestions.
Claire - I just unfrolled (that's a combo of unrolled and unfurled) - and if I loosen my belt a notch, and let the BFs slip a little lower...then , yes they are long enough. I am treading in dangerous plumber crack territory tho - would definitely need an untucked shirt - and nice undies (just in case) to make it work.

Great question. I love what you've posted, and I plan to wear mine with oxfords and cons. I'm not yet sure whether booties will work - depends on the height of the bootie, as I don't think my BF's will work unfrolled.

I love your blazer, too! I just ordered 3 blazers from Zara - their website is somewhat new to me, so fingers crossed something works. I'm tempted to go back and add yours to the mix!

Amazing blazer, merwoman, and that's a great score from Zara! I love the way you treat your BF! Now, to spend more quality time in a new season, I love the idea of booties, high ankle boots, Cons (as you've shown and weather permitting) and cute, clever flats (ballet or slipper) and here there are loafer heels and colored heels being sported:

Thanks Sarah! I picked the shirt up on sale at Banana Republic end of June. It's soft cotton blue and white stripped...and I just checked on line and don't see any quite like it, but maybe you can find it at an outlet.
My fingers are crossed for you that you have good blazer luck! Just a heads up - I am not that familiar with Zara sizing, so was surprised that I needed to size up - the blazer I am wearing is a medium. I am broad across the shoulders and back, but generally wear a small.
