Foot wrinkling in pumps.

I accept toe cleavage but not this wrinkling that is happening due to heel height. My feet are at quite an angle & they wrinkle at the bend. It is not squished toes, which I dislike the look of, but does it look just as bad?

I'm going to vote nay on these. I think the way the shoe is cut is unflattering to the top of your foot (and that's the part you have to look at). Also, Nina Garcia has a rule of thumb to only show toe cleavage on the first three toes (2 cracks), for whatever that's worth.

I think they look fine from the front but I don't like the look from above. It's hard to say for sure, but in the last picture they look too long. Would a smaller size help- maybe you would fill in the front more?

i get this too. i just over moisturize the night before then i ignore it.

i did used to bother me, but then i think, if someone is looking that closely at my feet, i have bigger problems to address than just foot wrinkling.

The first and third photo look fine, but I'm not digging the second picture. Your foot looks like it's being smushed or mangled in the shoe.

BJ, I gotta admit, I'm a foot-watcher. When I see something weird or funky going on, I just gotta stare. I am compelled to look.

LBD My foot isn't smooshed at all. It is the bend due to really steep angle.

Claire I am screwed if only 2 cleavages are allowed. I must have long toes. Look at this black shoe. These are not too narrow & neither are the first ones. Maybe it is looser skin with my age & long toes combined.

I have no problem with toe cleavage at all! It is inevitable when you have long toes - which I do too.

Your black pumps fit just fine, Elle. I've found that the toe scrunching/wrinkling thing happens in pointy toes with a wider foot. Is your foot on the wide side, Elle? The steep arch of the heel also contributes to the wrinkling - to your point.

I agree that your feet look a little strained in the T-strap shoes. That said, if they are comfy - and they could be - I have no problem with the wrinkles. As bj11111 said, life is too short to worry about that. I want you to have happy feet. That's all

Yes Angie my foot is wide but both shoes are wide enough. My toes are not scrunched together. It is from bending with older less elastic skin.

They are comfy around the house Angie. Unfortunately one never knows until they are worn & it is too late. These are high & could end up being uncomfortable. The block heel, padding & wide toebox make them feel like they could be comfortable but shoes always end up doing whatever they are going to do. If I can tell right away there is a problem I don't buy. After that it is wait & see:(

I here you, Elle. We try our best to make informed decisions about shoe comfort before we buy them. And still sometimes, things don't work out because the road test is the true test - AFTER we have bought them. But on a brighter note, shoes can become more comfy after they've been worn in.

I think they are really pretty shoes. I don't really know what to say about the wrinkling. It looks as if this may be a function of foot shape combined with shoe shape. I know I bought a pair of pumps that many people on the forum nixed because my arch was higher than the sides of the shoe. But that is inevitable for me in pumps (my arches are on the high side). Angie gave them a YAY. I got a gel insert which still does not fill the gap, but it turns out they are quite comfortable for me anyway. YMMV.
