Some of you have seen my general vibe via my Pinterest board (pinterest.com/pavegrrl/styling-my-closet/) (I'm still working on figuring out how to get pictures here since I have to email them to myself and save them before I can upload).

I'm looking to update my shoe wardrobe for the fall, and I find myself enamoured of the Balencegia-style cut-out booties.

Buuuuutttt... I'm also very drawn to the Lucky Penny bootie Angie posted in her recent round up:

The Lucky Penny would be a shift in my usual MO, but I've been eyeing the cut-out booties for a while, as well. I live in NC, so I can get away with a cut-out much longer into the season than snowy or rainier climes.

I can only choose one, and both are within my budget. Which is a most likely to get worn with what's been Pinned so far?

I like both styles (well, technically, three, I suppose) quite equally, but I'm not certain I trust my own judgement yet with regard to booties.

I'm confused about the photos -- what do you mean you have to email them to yourself before you can upload?

I think all those booties are terrific and would fit well with your style. So...climate issues. I personally love the fun details of the cutout versions, but will they be less wearable due to exposure in your climate? (They would, in mine.)

I'm currently only computer-enabled at work, where I can't load images from my phone onto the terminal. So I have to email the pictures from my phone to my email, so I can save the pictures in order to upload them here. And sometimes, that doesn't work so well, because my phone gets a bit cludgey sometimes and hangs up in the midst of emailing. I have not have much success with posting from a mobile device (when I try to attach a photo, the browser seems to drop the images when I return to the post). But I can upload easily to Pinterest on the fly, so for now, that's my default WIW location.

I think I could get away with the cutouts here in NC (unless the wacky rainy weather we've been having doesn't relent into the fall). The Lucky Penny boot is so shiny, though! The drawback I see is that so much of the rest of what I wear is bright, would it be a bridge too far?

I LOVE the cut out boots and I LOVE the gold ankle boots too. Hmm one is grunge and the other is glam rock, are you feeling more Eddie Vedder or Brian Ferry for the upcoming season?

I havne't found the YLF app in Google Play. Is it under a different name?

I think I lean more riot grrrl than new romantic, as a rule, which is why the Jeffreys speak to me so loudly. On the other hand, I feel the gold will soften up my biker-babe side.

Happily, my partner loves shopping. Perhaps he'll be willing to pontificate with me this weekend ^_^

I think the YLF app is iPhone only I don't think there's an Android version, but someone could correct me on this.
