I want to invite the neighbors over sometime soon. I was thinking I might make my famous brie-mushroom-port soup (really from a Williams-Sonoma cookbook). It's so rich, I only dare make it once a year. Same with baked beans and steamed bread, posole, my cranberry tart, and so on. These aren't holiday foods, they just have a short season in my mental rotation when I think of them even though I could make them almost any time. What are you cooking now?
