I had put together some good presentation/interview outfits but still appeared to suffer from, what if?--if I needed multiple visits or weather change issues or other concerns, real and imagined.
I was OOT and at AT B&M store so brought home (1) this cotton-blend blazer in stone. I had "little voice" concerns in store--it fit better than most AT jackets on me, but the shoulder pads, while not the super-70's/Dynasty type, are thicker than I think is ideal for me, and it still has a sort of IT shape that is not true to my shape.

Back home, meanwhile I had actually completed some of my events and survived well without said blazer and I re-tried it and found it not an improvement on what I had, including (2) the pearl gray silk RL, (3) gray tropical wool BR, and a cotton-blend blue-striped Johnson & Murphy blazer (not shown). So with the benefit of home mirror test and a clearer head, I could see it was FOMO, being in-store, get it while I can, neutral color and yet not a "10". So am sending it back!

I toss that out there for others who may have that bring-it home, what if I need this tendency and need to "shake it off"!

Howsomeever, I also picked up (4) this WHBM denim-look blazer. Its fit is really nice, as it's a kind of bottom-button double breasted so it works unbuttoned and buttoned, and it has a bit of waist fit and hip flare which work for me, and the medium color is good (not too draining dark or too washout pale). Drawbacks and points to ponder are:
--though it's a tencil, so not a rugged denim, it reads as denim and so might be against a future dress code in strict sense--so could I wear it to and from the parking lot or will it be confined to non-work?
--it can look more trendy, so will it be "out" in one year"?
--it has the trademark WHBM bright silver buttons which I do not especially like, though the tapered angle of them is flattering. I could swap these out myself for something like pewter-look, especially if that would help it look better.
--one review said the dye transferred to light clothing--I have not tried to test this out and of course would be horrified if it did that. Do I need to run it through the dry-cleaner, or would that even do it?
