First and least important, I got full refunds on both investment pieces that failed on me a couple of weeks ago. Yay for Nordies, yay for Zappos, yay for ordering online and being able to pull up my order on my phone via my Nordy app.... And yay for Rae who once again came through for me by finding me a *very* lightly used pair of identical booties. Now we're on the hunt for a replacement jacket.

I haven't posted much on my new life in LA yet, a little shy to say much before I've spent more time here. Quite simply I'm so happy. This is not to say I haven't encountered several frustrating obstacles. This is real life! But I love it here. I love my new apartment. I'm having so much fun putting it in order. It was amazing how well it held both DDs and their spouses over several days of celebration (not for sleeping).

Baby is adjusting famously. Who needs a yard when you get to go on 4-6 walks a day? He has walks, he has me, he has several cushy places to lie down on. That's all he needs. The apartment office having delicious dog treats is a bonus!

Everybody at work has been very kind. I have a lot to learn! A gorgeous beach is a 5-10 minute walk away, through an adorable neighborhood. I love the LA fashion, even if I'm not ready to take part in it much. Getting to spend time with DD and her husband is the best thing of all. I'm so grateful I got to make this change. I'm looking forward to my life here!
