Fluevogs for wide forefoot

I know we have discussed this brand before but I would like to get input on current styles. I tried a pair of Mary Jane style shoe (Fellowship Sandra) whuch were so absolutely fantastic but not available in my size. I understand shoes in the same family use the same last and run similar but not the same in size. What other shoe families are cut similarly - wide forefoot, average heel width and a low heel height?

The Operetta shoe family are cut as you describe. They work well for people with a wider forefoot. I have short boots and mary janes from this shoe family, and i find both very comfortable.

Thanks, AZ. Were you the one whose designed something for them several years ago?! Sadly a lot of the styles in the Operettas in my size are sold out. I spent a long time chatting on the phone with the SA in the San Francisco store and they have all the new fall styles in. Guess I'll just have to wait for the winter styles or troll EBay.

Yes, that was me I didn't actually design a shoe for them, though; just a poster to advertise a specific shoe. They have poster design contests all the time.

I think I have the same kind of foot as you -- wider at the ball of the foot, narrower at the heel -- and over the years I have found plenty of styles that fit well. Bellevues in particular work well, but so do Swordfish (you wouldn't think, because of the pointy toe, but they are among my most comfy pairs of ankle boots). I haven't bought anything from Fluevog for several years now, though, because it seems like it's going in a different style direction and not much of it really appeals to me.

Interesting, I wouldn't have pegged those styles as having a wider forefoot. I think I need a field trip to the store. The other thing that surprised me was how garish and flashy the colors look online. IRL, they go together quite well.
