Florida in February

Help Ladies! I'm joining my boyfriend on a trip to Florida next week while he visits a bunch of his clients. This will include dinners out with the clients every night. I believe it will be in the low 70s during the days. What do people wear in Florida in February, both day and evening? Do they wear white jeans...or is it mostly dark colors? Sleeveless dresses with cardigans for night? Are nice jeans (either white or dark) with dressy tops and heels ok at all in the evening? Help a NY girl out! Thanks

As a former Floridian, everything you mentioned sounds perfect. White and light colored jeans are great. Darker jeans could be a nice change at night. Sleeveless dresses--with or without a cardi--are great as well. If you'll be on your own during the day, feel free to keep it casual...everyone else will. Shorts, capris, casual skirts with sandals are all the norm. Have fun!

Definitely casual, white jeans are perfect, light or dark colors are fine but it feels like usually I do see a little more light all year round. A lot of the women I know and see there do wear casual dresses and skirts and well. It can be chilly in the evening if you are near the ocean so a cardigan or light jacket would good to have.

Just returned from a 3-day stop-over in Miami - and saw a wide variety of dress. Basically, everything you described was on display.

I am in Florida right now. Every winter I spend a few months in Florida. People dress much more casually than they do in NYC. White jeans or any jeans are perfect. Any of the outfits you described would be perfect.

I live in NE Florida and I will echo what everyone has been saying...it's casual here! I have seen jeans and shorts at all sorts of occasions. Anything goes! What you are planning on packing sounds just fine.
Do keep in mind, depending on what part of Florida you are planning on visiting (there is a bit of temperature variation from north to south) it does get chilly at night this time of year...and it's a damp cold. Don't forget to pack something with sleeves and a jacket!

I live in south Florida and I'd say anything goes! Tank tops and flip flops, head to toe Lily Pulitzer, and everything in between. But even in winter the sun is brutal, so pack a light wrap to protect your arms from the direct sun. You'll be so much more comfortable than with the sun hitting your bare skin.
