Floral Belt?

I'm always looking for belts, I just never seem to have the right one and they are difficult for me to find. When I was out the other day looking for a black belt with a gold toned buckle, I saw this floral belt. It sang to me. I have a love-hate relationship with florals. I am drawn to them (especially Ted Baker's florals!), I love them on others but do not like them on myself. So, I left without the belt but I am thinking it might be a fun way to dip my baby toe into wearing florals. What do you think about a floral belt?

Yes, why not? When my style was more boho I had a belt with embroidered flowers on it, it was just the right amount of the vibe for myself. Because I preferred a bit of a flavour to going full out - with the belt I could show that side to my style even when the rest of my outfit was more classic.

I think it would look nice as part of a neutral outfit - grey sweater, dark jeans, black boots, pop of floral! Sort of like wearing a scarf.

I do not!! But I love florals (all florals). If I came across this, and the leather was good, it would definitely come home with me.

I wanted to add that because I love floral prints, I tend to overbuy these types of items. I am trying to consciously buy fewer patterns because they are currently over represented in my closet. So for the time being I am consciously backing away from florals and stripes. That doesn't mean they don't still attract me, because they do. I am trying to leave them in the store until after Christmas.

I like this belt a lot. I can see it working with a variety of colors but if that beauty were mine I would probably pair it with simple solid color pieces to let the belt shine.

I agree with abc. I'd wear it with a simple outfit so that the belt can really shine.

I'd definitely try it as a way to see how you feel about florals. Wearing them on a much-smaller scale, as in a belt, might be the way to make florals work for you.

I love it! It would be so so *perfect* when added to a neutral dress (thinking black, navy, white and even Browns)or outfit, paired with either a floral-inspired clutch or sandals. I truly love this....it'll add just the right 'hint'of floral touch to an otherwise ordinary outfit.
