Floral applique on tops dated?

I have this sweater in pink as well as 2 long sleeve tshirts with floral applique's on them (black and blue). I am wondering if they are dated and should be culled.

I've culled all of mine. I'm not wearing my flower pins either. But I think this has more to do with me trying to look more grown up than datedness per se. I'm not sure whether they're actually dated.

Not sure on the datedness issue Glory but I still like the look of them and saw them being worn my a young woman in my office this week!

I wouldn't call that appliqué...I think of appliqué as something in another material or color sort of quilted onto something. I just call that an ornament or some such term.

I'm not really splitting hairs...applique really does have a bad name and would seem stereotypically dated. So I was expecting to say yes. But when I saw your picture, not so much. I think it looks pretty. I'd want to see the whole garment before I said for sure, but just as a decoration, a piece of flower doesn't scream dated.
