I've been looking off and on for studded or cap toe flats, and these also caught my eye. Do you see either one working for my style? Preference for either? I'd likely wear them with pants, shorts, and skirts. Maybe dresses. I ditched my cream Dr. Scholl's earlier this year and hope either of these could work as a kind of neutral, throw on with anything, shoe. Or should I look for all silver with no black in it, like these (pic 3)? I do have black zipper flats.

EDIT: then there are these mirror like silver ones (pic 4) - too much? or sci-fi cool?

I think #2 seems to fit your style best. However, if you want them to replace a cream pair and work as a neutral, I'm not sure you want that much black. #3 seems more neutral to me since they are grey and silver. It's really depends on what colors you plan on wearing them with though.

I love flats! #3 is the most neutral, but my fav is #2. It's hard to choose, because I like them all.

Agree that #3 are the most neutral and #2 are the most "you". I think #4 look cool, but they might be harder to style than you'd think.

Another vote that 3 would go with most things, but 1 makes me think of you because of the back metal detail. Is it silver or gold in the back? I considered the stud details in 2, but I don't remember if you are a big fan of animal print. I'm drawn to sci-fi silver these days but I'm not sure if that will date quickly or be versatile enough for your minimalist closet.

AJ, you're right that I'm not a big animal print fan. I've been wanting a dalmatian belt, but the only ones I find are brown, not black. I do have a dalmatian cuff I love. Small doses.
I am not afraid of sci-fi dating, for me, because of my long standing love affair with silver and hardware. I just love the metal plate detailing I'm seeing on shoes! And many a shoe I've had to turn away from with gold details Silver only over here. I learned the hard way I can't get past gold.

Hmm, well I'm worried that #3 aren't edgy enough and might come across more business like, but I like the textures. I love #1 but worry the black accents would limit versatility. But, then I have both a pair of metallic and some black studded gladiators that I'm looking to upgrade, so maybe this shoe could kill both those birds with one stone. I'm digging the mirror finish of #4 but would it get scuffed and creased with wear and defeat the purpose of such a cool, smooth surface?
so I guess that's a long way to say I'm not any closer to a choice LOL

I don't think creases in #4 would ruin the look... at least in my head, lol. Looks like molten metal with the creases, in theory.

As for the black strap on #1, do you have pics of cream shoe outfits where you'd like the new shoes to stand in? That's one thing that helps me decide, is to imagine the new item with an entire existing look.

I also have to remember in my head that FL isn't permanent and Tahoe is to be kept in mind, too. Hard to do that, in either place. Outta sight, outta mind.

Any would work, I'm partial to #4 or #3 for you. I think you wear strappy tops often, and I think the ankle straps might be a lot of straps going on.

I do however like #1 a lot... and I may be imagining things, but you also seem to be doing covered shoulders more. Perhaps that's just because it's winter.

Rachy, you do have a point in that I already have several strappy sandals and maybe I should move away from that with the flats choice. Hmmm, seems I am narrowing myself down to one of the metallics.
And in looking at some of the outfits with the cream flats, I had on red, cobalt, and then neutrals like olive, denim, and black and white.

I'm going with 4 as a replacement for cream based on the colors you just mentioned. I also like 1 and 3 a lot, although something about 3 does read as more conservative to me - not sure why.
