I have this week off (between the end of teaching a summer class and the start of new classes next Tuesday...yay!) and Mr. NL's health is good right now, SO one of the things I'm determined to accomplish is my wardrobe evaluation for fall/winter. Starting with shoes....

I feel pretty good about my boots/booties/heels collections. I have a good variety of heel heights and styles and I love them all, but I find myself reaching for flats more often lately. The trouble is my flats collection feels a little sparse and random. Something is missing, and I'm hoping you all can fill me in on what flats work best for you and what you think I might need.

#1 - My flats collection
Top left to right: black patent loafers, tan patent loafers, TB sneaker flats, TOMs flats, fun owl print sneaker flats (which I never wear but bought just because I love owls!)
Bottom left to right: sparkly ikat patterned flats, embellished pointy toe flats, tan pointy flats (a workhorse in summer), Minnetonka mocs (ancient!).

So, what's missing color and stylewise? I'm open to any and all suggestions except ballet flats, which I find too ladylike for my style.

#2 - a pair of funky Pikolinos slipper mocs that just arrived from Zappos. They are a little fugly, I know, but I need something to wear with my bootcuts that are too short for heels. They appeal to my boho side, plus I am in love with the cognac color...and they are so comfy! So, keep or return?
