Flat boots

So I know it's not the season for boot shopping, but does anyone have suggestions on where to find a pair of fabulous flat boots? I was looking all winter and couldn't find a pair I liked...any suggestions would be great! Thanks!

I've been checking all the shoe websites i can think of for a screaming deal on a pair of black knee high boots--not necessarily flat, but I've definately seen them on sale! JCPenney had a leather riding boot on clearance for $35. I know price isn't the most important thing when buying clothing--but if you can what your looking for at a great price, then all the better!

I was looking for a pair of long/high boots. I guess I was looking for a pair that's kind of chunky: something that would flatter leggings and a day dress. Nicole, those riding boots are an amazing deal and very cute!

I like them...I like the elongated toe, with out being overly pointy. I agree w/you about the fringe. It's alright--but a little too flashy for me.

I'm saving up for a pair of La Canadienne boots. I have the toughest time finding boots that are comfortable, and I've heard really great things about the brand in terms of comfort and quality (plus they're waterproof, which I can't believe!). They'll cost you though:

You know, zappos will match any price you find plus beat it by 10%. The only caveat is that the place charging the lower price must have the exact item you want IN STOCK in your size/color. Zappos has free, fast shipping both ways and a great return policy.

Not to get off topic, but I remember a post about how a tall boot is meant to fit around the calf, and now I can't find it. Does anyone know this information?

La Canadienne gets my vote. I have the most temperamental feet in the world, but they seem very happy in these boots. I have one pair of tall boots and one pair of shorter ones and they are both great.

I too have very fussy feet and it's worth every penny saving up for the best pair of boots. La Canadienne is wonderful. So are Stuart Weitzman and Aquatalia. Stay away from the fringe because it will date.

So I tried on a pair of Steve Madden boots today and LOVED the fit...the problem is they only come in grey:

I love them too! And I love Steve Madden footwear...so comfy! I have a pair of black slides that I have finally had to retire after 7+ years of duty! I looked and looked for another pair but they are too old. I can't bring myself to throw them away though. I wear them around the house like outdoor slippers!
