One of the docs in my cardiologists office recently suggested that I purchase a Fitbit for continuous HR monitoring throughout the day. As far as I can tell, she must mean the Fitbit Charge HR, because I couldn't find any other models that do HR monitoring (except the more expensive style).

I don't really have a desire to use any of the other aspects of the fitbit like the pedometer, etc. I already have a really good chest strap HR monitor that I wear while exercising (although it can be a bit of a pain, esp. for hiking trips). I purchased it back before there were any accurate wrist monitors, and wore it for almost a year under my regular bra when I was first diagnosed, which isn't an experience I'm gunning to repeat.

So, I was hoping someone is a user of one of the fitbits with the continuous HR monitoring function might chime in and let me know how well they work. I'm considered a watch that uses a fingertip to check pulse, but those don't work on me frequently because of vasoconstriction in my fingers.
