I got it yesterday in the mail, and it is gorgeous in person. Better, actually, than online. Th outside is bit rough in tesxture to be shimmery, but the part that touches your skin is nice and soft, even on my fussy skin.I highly recommend it.
But, I think it is going back. It is loose fitting at the top and over my waist, but fitted across the hips. So, it does not look like it ought. DH liked it, but then anything with a soft deep V-neck he is bound to like
I love that top. I understand the fit issue, though. PEARS UNITE!
With longer tops like that, they tend to be tight fitting at my hips, but fit great everywhere else. Sometimes I see if I can bring the hem up a smidgen or faux-tuck to get past that. Would that work for you?
A faux tuck isn't a bad idea, but as a cusp plus pear, it just doesn't work on me. Too bad.
I do recommend them to others though! Just a fab, fab top. Enough sparkle to be fun, but muted enough I would wear it to work under a sweater jacket or blazer.
I have had mixed luck with metallic knitwear. Sometimes it's too stiff to drape and sometimes it just has an awful chemical smell. Sorry this didn't work, but there are lots more options.
