Fisherman's sweater...where to buy?

I'd love to buy a soft, non-scratchy fisherman's sweater, in a lovely classic cream color or off-white. Any idea where I can find one? I saw a young woman at Zara this week who looked so stunning in one and she was wearing it with rolled up jeans and sandals. It was simple and looked good. I don't want anything rough and the sweater has to be comfortable and yet stylish, too. Typically, I would ask the person, but on this occasion I didn't. If you have any leads, please let me know. Thanks.

I didn't know what this kind of sweater was, but after seeing Inge's picks, I'm thinking of LL Bean, Ralph Lauren, maybe Land's End Canvas... somewhere with a preppy angle.

I still remember one that I loved but didn't buy from Abercrombie (about 15 years ago, when they weren't so... um... stingy with fabric). I don't have suggestions, but I'll be watching this thread, too! If you find a good one, snap it up!

Thanks, Inge, Rae, Di and Angie. Inge, she was wearing a crew neck, similar to Rae's link. I think it's something I will need to see and feel in person. Yes, itchy is OUT. ;(

Aran Craft is a small place in Ireland that only sells their stuff here through QVC. The sweaters are in merino wool and have amazing reviews.

The daily prep blog mentions LL Bean's fisherman's sweater but in men's only. She takes the small size. She thinks the men's sweaters have held up but not the quality of the womenswear. Don't know about itchy.

I find that "washing" itchy/rough sweaters in a heavy amount of creme rinse softens them. Is it the roughness of the fibers that bothers you or might you be allergic to lanolin?

Thanks for all your links and suggestions. Don't laugh, but I did find a fisherman sweater at Peek...Aren't You Curious, a store for children, after Nordstrom didn't have the sweater and the SA recommended I go over there, which was very nice of her.

Here's a photo of the sweater taken in my car and the Nordstrom link. It's really soft and I love it. I don't think I would have liked the authentic wool one, for my purposes, since I live in Southern California.

"Swanky pompoms provide visual and tactile dimension" and this is what I loved about it in addition to the softer than soft cotton feel. This is comfort and I will get a lot of use out of this sweater! I'm just glad the XX-Large fit me.

I bought an outstanding one from Banjo and Matilda in Australia. The off white Surfer cable knit....it has a turtle neck...which you may or may not want. The quality is divine, soft and warm, 4 ply cashmere, and they ship all over the world.
Oh, I should add, I have seen a few Banjo and Matilda knits on the Shopbop website.
