I posted recently that my brother is getting married in about 6 weeks in a casual backyard setting in late spring.
I went looking around with mum yesterday and helped her get over her initial reluctance and she is a little further on the way to knowing what she wants.

I only tried on a few things and this was the only one that looked any good. It is a bit too pricey for me but I guess I just wanted feedback as to whether something in this style might be worth looking at. Angie said I should go for fit and flare but I am not convinced I should restrict myself to that.

I have decided I want short (but not too short), a party look fabric but not to OTT - something that wouldn't look out of place at a normal party. I am also keen to get some sort of coverup. Mum is keen on a white bolero for herself (I am keen to hear from Aussies who might have seen one) but I was thinking of a metallic trench or jacket for me.

PS Obviously I wouldn't wear this with boots and leggings!
