I am officially on 2 weeks leave as of today! My BF and I are driving up to QLD for some fishing (he is a mad fisherman), rest, relaxation, and of course, SHOPPING (for me, anyway!). And, of course, most importantly...the first ever Aussie YLF Gathering in Brisbane on the 9th!!!
While BF worked on getting the boat ready to take up today, I went op shopping! With no one there to chivvy me along I happily browsed for 3 hours. I only made it to 2 stores!
I picked up:
- some summer scarves posted here
- a pale pink lace top with cute pearl buttons
- a deep coral blouse. Looks big in the pics but will be worn belted
- a spearmint green polka dot tank
- some aqua/turquoise beads (worn here on my wrist as a bracelet)
- a purple corduroy pencil skirt perfect for autumn/winter
- a bone/off-white pencil skirt, and
- a pair of lined woolen tailored shorts perfect to wear with hose and boots when autumn/winter rolls around again.
My grand spending total was $38.50! I am very pleased with that.
I love the way the coral, pale pink and spearmint green look together!
And don't worry ladies, I will be laundering the items before wearing. For those of you who missed my unfortunate experience with unlaundered thrift store items...read here (at own peril :-|)...
