First Sale Purchase

The summer shopping festival is now in full swing and there are some fab discounts around. I found this top in Massimo Dutti today it was less than half price.
As usual I was shopping rushed and harrassed with two year old running around the changing rooms!
So I am reflecting on my new purshase - yes or no?

I tried it with black but think its all a bit dark:

I would like to buy a few skirts also but have no idea what styles are best and how to work them in to my current wardobe!
I have to have a good sort out of m wardobe so I can see the main items that I am missing.

I think it looks great with both, but the lighter denim looks really fresh and up to date.

I like the top with both, the white bottoms for a summery look and the dark bottoms with maybe some long necklaces for a fall look.

Wow, you have legs for miles (envious sign :-)!
I think they both look good on you. White jeans are more summery, but black look good too. If you think is is too dark add some color with shoes and jewelery: as both your top and bottom are neutrals any bright color will work I think.

I think both look really good, but the white is more summery. By the way I am totally jealous of your vanity table! I just discovered a Massimo Dutti store where I live. Maybe I will brave the summer crowds to see if any thing good is on sale...

Love it, very pretty and I love the shoulder detail. I wonder if it would also work with a white pencil skirt or a regular blue coloured one - I'm thinking, blue denim skirt, the beautiful top and a white jacket over the top.

Lol Yes shopping with a two year old is a bit of a nightmare! but needs must!
Londonkiwi I like the idea of the white jacket, maybe that something I could try in the winter.
I am a bit scared to wear a skirt with a such a loose fitting top as I look a bit shapeless! Any tips on how to pull that off?
Thanks for the comments anyway, I will defo keep the top. I have a babysitter for tonight so I get back out there to find more bargaina. Will keep you posted.

You live in Dubai don't you? In that case I could definitely see a white jacket working and I could understand not wanting to wear it in summer.

Skirts can definitely work with loose fitting tops, you just need to make sure that the skirt is close fitting - so think pencil skirt - Angie wore a tunic shirt over a pencil skirt in this post - http://youlookfab.com/2010/02/.....ress-code/ .

Londonkiwi - yes I am in Dubai and wow its hot now! 38oC at 7.30 this morning ouch!! I am going back to Scotland for 3 weeks on Tuesday, I simply vannot wait to feel that cool air!! pure bliss! Wardrobe dilema galore!
Thanks for the link I think I need to try out afew skirts. I will get some time to shop while I am in London!
