I love the playfulness and exuberance in these pictures! I wonder if dressing so fearlessly is more common in Finland than it is here in the US.

All these are from http://hel-looks.com/ if you want to see more wacky styles. As someone from a neighbouring country, I really want to know if many Finnish people actually dress like that! People seem to dress more lagom and conservative way in Scandinavia on the whole.
I noticed lots of fun street style in Reykjavik both times I was there, and that's the closest I've been! Would love to spend more time in Scandinavia. Only flew through Oslo and Tromso on my way to Svalbard once.
Fun to look at. I was in Finland (visiting relatives) 20 years ago and I recall a more muted palette but some pattern mixing that I assumed was just coincidental to having small wardrobes (some of my relatives wore nearly same items daily but I was more in suburban and country areas with them. Helsinki would not surprise me having a more international flair. Of course marimekko to me is color and pattern so it makes sense.
