Finding the right shoes.

Hey guys!

I bought this dress but not sure what shoes to put with it. I am going to wear it to a wedding in Texas. I want to wear heels ( is there such a thing as comfy heels?) my feet usually end up hurting. I would like a heel with four inch. I like to be tall. I am open to all suggestions. Thanks for the help

It's hard to get a good idea of the dress as the picture is quite small. It looks like maybe a pink print? How dressy is the wedding?

If you click on the picture it gets bigger. But the dress is a brown abstract cowl dress. I think fairly dressy the wedding will be.

I would go with metallic, or maybe cream.

There are lots of block heels around here at the moment which are comfortable....there can be a bit of standing and dancing at a wedding.

I can't even begin to imagine a 4 inch heel that could be comfortable, but these ones get good reviews. I love the idea of a metallic with this dress.

Annie, I like the idea of a metallic, too, but here's another option in a light tan that might look like a nude tone against your skin. I have this pump in black, and I find it pretty comfortable for a heel. I'm not a high-heel wearer, usually (these are my highest ones), but I've worn mine to a holiday party and they were fine.

The dress looks beautiful despite the lack of photo clarity. I love the idea of an interesting nude pump and think this would be a subtle, yet lovely option with this dress. They would also be useful to go with many outfits beyond the wedding. Frankly, 3" heels would be far more comfortable and practical than 4" heels, particularly since you wrote that your feet hurt in heels.

Wedges are the most comfortable kind of heels in my opinion, and in Texas this shouldn't be a problem for style or formality. With that dress I would definitely go for something nude or beige, both of which are very in right now. There are some cute ones online right now. Maybe something like these:

I really like the idea of lengthening the leg line with a nude or light metallic heel. Can't tell from the picture, but if the dress is rather delicate, I would go with a more refined shoe...something like Firecracker or Suz posted.
