Doing some fall and holiday shopping the other day and came across this at TJMaxx. Though for the life of me, can’t really conceive of where to wear it, I couldn’t stand to leave it behind. I discussed it with the cashier and she said with all seriousness that I could wear it to the library. She’s probably right. I need tights. My daughter reminded me I have New Year’s Eve plans with friends at a dinner theater. Maybe? Now I need to pair with tops and toppers, and shoes! But I have a couple of weeks to figure it out. ☺️

What is the fabric? I think I would wear metallic silver and a bit of white with it for New Year’s Eve. A shimmery silver sweater, perhaps? Silver booties and bag. New Year’s Eve can be very cold and snowy. Think something warm.

Oh, that’s really pretty! You could dress it down with a tee and denim jacket and boots, for daytime, or up for the holidays. I’d play with some stylings!

Oh, that is so pretty -- I can see why you couldn't leave it behind. I can't tell on my screen if it is lilac or grey/silver, but in either case, I love the suggestion for pairing it with silver.

And it would be loads of fun to look at ways to dress it down - as Janet suggests with denim, with a chunky sweater, boots...

I'd try white or cream with it too.

Can't wait to see a WIW with this!

Love it so much! I’d pair it with a sweater that is super soft with a bit of slouch. Same grey colour, navy, merlot, plum, lilac or possibly an organic grey/brown mushroom colour that bookends your hair and might work with brown boots. it’s nice to have something in the closet that is really different from anything else and that just might the catalyst for experimentation that stretches your style repertoire.

How pretty! Carla’s inspo pics are just what I was thinking. The skirt’s somewhat in the same vein as Suz’s/Janet’s plaid tulle - would look great with a blazer.

It’s a perfect-to-me gray fine tulle. Thanks so much for the inspiration photos, Carla. I haven’t had time yet to go exploring for ideas. Now that my card writing and gift wrapping are done (unbelievable!), I might have a few minutes to browse my closet for a available options. Yes, I’ll take photos and do a lab.

It is perfect for your New Year plans. I love a fun skirt and have more than one in my wardrobe. The thing is, just wear and enjoy it. It can be worn with a sweater and boots in winter and a light shirt or t-shirt in summer.

I seriously think the best 2021 look for this one would be with the particular sweater in the pictie only left untucked or just wrapped a bit under, light boots -and light sparkly cross body bag or clutch- you're done! (not only to a library(then wear no sparkle), but to a theater, Xmass event, too)

This is a cool skirt. It looks great with the sweater & sneakers in the picture. I’d wear it against type, with clumpy boots, but it would be lovely with pumps & pearls too. On my monitor, it seems to have a purplish cast. Is that right?
