I am curious to know if others here share my thoughts on this, or if I am just too nutty of a geek... so this may seem silly to some of you, but I have never felt comfortable looking up to an actress as any sort of role model. I look up to professional athletes or scientists as my personal role models, because those are the types of people I draw inspiration from. However-- while some athletes tend to embrace style, I suppose I can safely say that famous scientists or engineers are not typically thought of as style icons... which is why I find myself looking to beautiful actresses/models instead... so I was thrilled to read an article this morning (with photos) of Lisa Jackson, the head administrator of the EPA (trained as a chemical engineer). First of all, she rocks professionally (in my opinion) and she is also totally stylish! In these photos (which I can't link to, unfortunately) she was wearing a killer steel gray-ish suit with mandarin collar and an awesome necklace, and she has a trendy, modern hair cut that suits her really well! Yeah!
I hope I am not offending anyone here, I just find it refreshing to have a broader range of stylish people to emulate.
