Yes, I have my mom's hands, just ever so slightly larger -- I can wear the rings she wore later in life, but some of the ones from when she was younger are too small for me, as are some of the rings *I* wore when I was younger/

I didn't realize other people had multiple wedding rings. I now wear my second "engagement" ring -- my first engagement ring was sapphire, and the stone chipped before we got married. Jamie always felt bad about it, and he found the ring I wear now when he was visiting San Francisco on business years ago. He didn't buy it the first time he saw it -- but he returned to the store over a year later, and it was still there. He decided that was a sign, and got it for me. It's a unique setting, and apparently vintage -- two diamonds set at a 45 degree angle to the band. I absolutely love it. Even though I loved the sapphire, it was a more traditional setting, and the style of this ring really suits me.
