Every so often I have a perfect item in mind, and it usually takes me AGES to find exactly what I'm looking for.

Nude pumps were like that: I didn't want pointy toes, I'm not up to super-high heels, I didn't want patent leather, I didn't want platforms, and because I'm super-pasty, they needed to be a pretty light version of "nude." Oh, and they had to be closed-toed, because I'll start 2 years worth of hospital internships next summer.

I've been looking for over a year. Zappos, endless, nordstrom.

I finally found them at Payless. Crazy. Quality-wise, they're not ideal, but they hit all the other requirements, and I'm going to wear the heck out of them.

Oh-- but I should point out that I tried on 2 different pair of the same size, and the second pair fit far better than the first. I have to remember to do that more often.

Here's hoping this bodes well for the perfect fuzzy v-neck white sweater this fall...
