Finally figured out Kibbe--sort of

At least, I think I did. (Can you tell I'm on an analysis kick? It's cheaper than shopping and better for me than eating!) I did the quiz that's linked on the other Kibbe threads here, and my results were clearly Soft Classic. On reading the descriptions and looking at pictures, though, I think I'm more of a Soft Natural. However, I definitely have some Classic/Soft Classic features.

I think I'm a blend of the two, and a combination of the recommendations for both fits with what I know works for my body and face. So, yay! I always found Kibbe incredibly confusing, but I think I get it now. Or at least I'm close enough for jazz.

That said I also did the illustrated quiz and my results were mostly Romantic! But the descriptions don't fit me at all, except for the strongly defined waist. Interesting.

I also find Kibbe confusing. I think it is because when I break down my parts I am quite angular but overall appear more soft. But anyhow Soft Natural does fit well with your colouring and your style, how do you think you will use this knowledge going forward? Will it make a difference to your purchasing decisions.

Sort of is how I did with those quizzes, too. I came out a Dramatic Classic but the description that actually works the best for me is a blend of Soft Classic and Gamine.

How are you planning to incorporate your results into your wardrobe?

I understand why some of the looks I'm drawn to on others, and have tried on myself, just don't feel or look good on me. That frees me up to move on from those experiments with a sense of understanding and acceptance! I think what I need to do is identify what it is that drew me to those looks that don't work, and figure out ways to translate some of the elements or "feel" to looks that DO work. I feel encouraged to tweak and re-embrace some of the more conventionally figure-flattering looks that I'd moved away from out of boredom.

Beyond that, I need to spend some more time reading the recommendations and making notes, and refreshing what I've learned from Angie's blog and others.
