A couple of weeks ago I posted the long list of items I bought at NAS. I've only gotten to wear one top and a pair of sneakers so far but I'm excited about wearing everything else!

I did change my mind about the Lafayette ink tweed jacket (find). It is beautiful and so nicely made but it's dressier than I really need. The other toppers I am keeping (also in finds)- ink cardigan, James Perse blazer and RT peplum jacket- are better suited to my climate and level of dressiness. So I returned the jacket and I am keeping these 2 tops instead:

Joie silk shell- this fits beautifully and fills a need for a dressier top for 'date nights.' I was afraid it would be too low but the lace hits a bit higher on me than on the model. It really is pretty and feels wonderful. I specifically see it paired with leather pants and velvet duster or long black jacket.

EF velvet top- burgundy is one of my favorite colors for winter and I love how velvet adds a richness to a simple shape. And it will work well with the burgundy loafers.

All in all, I did really well and I am so grateful to Angie for her recommendations.
