Hi all! Hope you're having a lovely summer. Like Angie, July is my birthday month, so although I am generally in a no-to-low buy season, I took the opportunity to make some refresh purchases and to check off a few things on my wish-list for summer.
Bralettes: I found this bralette from the Free People "Intimately" brand on sale at a Nordstrom Rack near me and purchased it with some store credit. I have wide set breasts that vary in size throughout the month and often want just a little bit of slinky support under loose fitting or structured tops. I love the feel of this one and the green color; purchased a second from Amazon, also linked below.
Chambray dress: A chambray dress is a staple of my summer wardrobe and this oversized, western-inspired one from Hey Gang replaces a pair of Old Navy ones (also linked) that have started looking a shabby. I love that it is fully button-down so I don't even have to pull it over my hair to get "a look." Toss it one with sandals and I'm done. Very happy with this!
Ear stack: I've been interested in the idea of a "nap earring" for some time, since I find I don't wear my studs everyday because they are pokey at night and I am too lazy to pull them in and out. When Maison Miru sent out an announcement of an online sample sale this morning, I jumped and purchased a pair, along with a "wild card" ear cuff, which has also been on my radar for some time. Has anyone else tried this brand or look?
Dressy dress: This is an item that has been on my shopping list for ages and has been a HEWI, so when I found this dress in a local boutique and the fit was perfect, I jumped. It hangs so nicely on the body, with my favorite low v neckline, feels substantial without feeling heavy, and checks my "softly utilitarian" style vibe. I'm hoping it will be something I will be able to pull out for dressy event in the future, because if Angie has taught us anything, it is top shop for those things before we need them!
Short-sleeve robe: Last but not least, is another item on my long-term wish list for summer. I have a long-sleeved robe that I simply adore (below), but have been wanting a shorter sleeve robe for mornings on the porch in the summer. Again, enter a sample sale from Hey Gang. Since I love the chambray dress I got from them this month so much, I was not afraid to pounce. Hoping it checks all the boxes!
