I ended up filling a lot of holes unexpectedly.  I went to our local library and just popped into the local thrift shop.  Well I walked out later with a denim skirt, a dress, 3 tops and a pair of shoes. The sandals, though 2nd hand were a good brand and still in really good condition.   Then I found out my husband and son were at the mall finding my son stuff for his camp so i popped along for a coffee with them.  I looked into a dept store and found a skirt which I really liked and a pair of black cropped pants which my husband encouraged me to buy even though they were full price.  They are both things that seem really versatile but I'm not sure i'd pick up at a thrift shop.  My main hole that was filled was related to this earlier post (http://youlookfab.com/welookfa.....silk-dress) when i wanted to find shoes to wear with formal outfits but didn't want to spend a lot as I dont normally dress up.  Well I found these shoes heavily reduced and I thought I could probably wear them to a function without falling over ...now I've come home and styled them....they are actually very comfortable.  I also got the checked top which was reduced as well.
1.  denim skirt thrifted
2. top thrifted
3 top thrifted...not normally my colour but I like it and find the fit flattering on my fuller bustline.
4. new black cropped pants
5. dress thrifted with sandals thrifted...very comfortable...will leave and wear at work.
6.  top thrifted with skirt (pretty pricey new but I've been wanting one for a while).
7-8. definitely a hewi...I can wear these for wearing with my dressier dresses for formal occasions and they are really comfortable...big bonus.
