K. Period.

Thanks to Angie's post this morning, I now have a complete and utter crush on a pair of Anyi Lu shoes. How could I have let this happen? Why, oh why, did I try them on? I should have walked on by and had my coffee, but nooooo.

These are much too expensive to buy without long pause. Scratch that. These are much too expensive to buy at all.

They could be very versatile, though, couldn't they? I could wear them with dresses, jeans, trousers and shorts, right? The heel is 3".

Oh KCS, I feel your pain! Those are STUNNING (I'm sorry...that's probably not what you want to hear). May I ask how comfortable they were?

Now to the practical points: do these fit your lifestyle? would you wear them often enough? are they affordable without sacrifices?

Shannon, the answer is ridiculously comfortable. They fit beeeeautifully and the stacked heel is easy to wear. They do fit my lifestyle because I could wear them often as a summer sandal with work wear. To me, the python is such a great neutral, it will go with most of my wardrobe. Affordable without sacrifices. Hmmmm. No. They are expensive. Too expensive. I'd have to foregoing shopping for a bit to justify them.

Do I have other things that work well in their place? Yes. I have a pair of Cole Haan sandals that I bought a few years ago with a chunky heel that probably would work just as well, but without as much flair. I'm just crushing hugely on these.

I'm glad, though, that someone else shares my love for these.

Hmmmm... if I wear them every day this spring, summer and fall, I can get it down to $2 per wear, or $1 per wear per shoe.

I felt the shoe pain just looking at Angie's post this morning. I can look at lots of designer shoes and feel nothing, because I know they'd shred my feet, but comfort *and* pretty? Le sigh.

Do you have a birthday coming up? Or maybe they will still be around by Christmas?

I'm not sure you should feel that way about Anyi Lu shoes, K can shop. Same with Stuart Weitzman and Chie Mihara - all about the same price point. If you can buy a pair of Fluevogs (which you did!!) - you can buy these brands too. And they will probably be more comfy to boot.

So really - buying two pairs of shoes instead of one pair that is far superior (the cost is the same) - makes little sense to me. But then, I do bat for Team Small Wardrobe

I think I'm going exercise my patience muscle and check in on these in a month. In the meantime, I'm going to try to ask myself if these shoes would work with what I'm wearing each day.

Angie makes an excellent point. It wasn't until I bought a really high quality pair of shoes that I realized that I didn't need nearly as much quantity in shoes if I had quality shoes that had style and that I LOVED to wear. CPW has actually gone down for me since I started buying better quality (more expensive) shoes.

All this talk of really really nice shoes (and the ones you picked out are gorgeous) is making me rethink my medium quality shoes. This may be one time when money can buy (foot) happiness.
