Fickle shopping and the return of the kimono

Today I repurchased the zara kimono that I returned a few weeks ago. It got good reviews here but I just felt I could not pull off the look.
I can only confess it to you ladies - imagine the eye rolling from DH on more packages with the same item. HAHAHA

I also purchased this moto to try. I love the boho feel on the front.

Am I alone in this insanity of buying an item twice? I have to confess it isn't my first time doing this.

Well I do this fairly regularly, but maybe for a different reason? If I am not planning to wear right away, those tags stay on...and if the price drops, then for sure I will be returning, and buying again. This mostly happens with Zara since they will not do a price adjustment. GAP is much more consumer friendly.

Angie is going to have to spank your bottom if you don't start wearing the heck out of your beautiful clothes!!

But I shouldn't talk. Because although I did not take the kimono back, I have not worn it yet!! Now you get to spank my bottom!

For me, it has been a temperature/ occasion thing. It's either been too chilly or now, too warm! But I'm sure the right moment for it will come eventually.

I really love the moto you linked to. It looks great!

I like Merwoman's strategy. She makes returning and then re-buying eminently sensible. So just say that to DH if he rolls his eyes.

OK, I've got you beat! I not only bought the same item twice, but I bought and RETURNED the same item twice. Hilarious. It was a Rachel Roy silk blouse that fit ok but just didn't send me over the moon...plus it was a little too low cut for my comfort level. So I returned it.

A month later I noticed it online again and thought "Why didn't I give that blouse more of a chance? The color is perfect for me." So, I ordered it again only to realize AGAIN that it was too low cut for me. *sigh*

My crazy buying habits aside, that kimono is excellent. Can't wait to see you wearing it.

Ladies I feel so much better! Here is the kimono picture - should be back in my possession again soon.
I will never tell DH or any of the peanut gallery - just got to make sure I am home for the parcels of which there should be a few this week
Merwoman and Suz - we "might" be kimono triplets.
Suz - consider me chastised although I agree it is too hot here

Oh, what a story, nancylee, and this brought a smile. Glory, I'm a bit like merwoman in that I'll keep the tags on for "further consideration" and see how I feel over a few days. Once I've decided, though, they come off and I will wear the item asap. That's like getting back on the horse, I guess, and going for it.

The moto looks like a great piece. I love the detail at the front. I have to confess I bought and returned this kimono too. I liked it well enough but just didn't feel I'd get enough wear out of it to justify the purchase. It looks great on you btw.

If you like it enough to repurchase, that's a big sign you should have it. So glad you had the opportunity to get it while it was still available I still mourn a few items I sent back and shouldn't have.
